How to use cushion foundation correctly
If you've been keeping up with all the beauty news and hype, surely there's a chance that you would heard of cushion foundation. Created in Korea beauty industry and exported into Western society, cushion foundation found it's way to climb on top that even Lancome, L'oreal, and Maybeline even launched their own cushion. Despite it's popularity do you know how to apply cushion foundation correctly?Air puff. This ruby cell air puff can take adequate amount of foundation and spread it evenly without absorbs too many products at the same time. If you want a sheerer effect, you may use foundation brush to pick up the foundation or just use a facial mist to spread it on the air puff. It will create a more natural finish.
Besides that, you can also use a concealer stick to draw a line on the air puff and press it on blemishes or dark circles. This way it provides better coverage.
Tap. Do not rub the air puff on your face. The purpose of this air puff is used to tap on the skin lightly instead of rubbing it against the skin. I seen many people do this step wrong, by tapping it on the skin it can provides more coverage and spread the foundation evenly.
To make the foundation sticks to the skin better, you can spray facial mist on your face after you apply foundation for one time, and tap it with the air puff. By doing this, it can helps the makeup to adhere to the skin better and provides radiant glow from the mist as well.
Wash. Remember to wash the air puff regularly. Even though cushion foundation is very convenient however it would lead to sanitary problems as well. Some people I met do not wash their air puff regularly and it increase the chances of breakout due to the bacteria residue on the puff. By using puff cleaner from Daiso or facial foam, you can easily wash the remaining product off the puff. Or you can purchase extra air puffs as backup as well.
If your cushion foundation is dry, try using a tweeter to turn the sponge to the other side. This way, you can still keep using the cushion without purchase any refill.
So tell me what is your favorite cushion foundation?
