Etude House Tint My Brows Gel Review (First Impression)
Brows, brows, brows. We all know the importance of brows, it can made you look innocent, fierce, or even clean. That's why we have to consider the shape of our brows all the time to match our mood, or outfit.
How do you draw your brows? With brows pencil, powder or even eye shadow? Now Etude House introduced us a new way to draw it! Introducing Tint My Brows Gel, where you only to peel it off, and here you go, a pair of beautiful brows.
Tint My Brows Gel is a new-concept eyebrow gel tint that makes eyebrow makeup last long after removing the tint.
Directions:
- After trimming the eyebrows without applying skincare product or makeup, apply a liberal amount according to the desired shape of the eyebrow. (Apply a liberal amount to remove the pack easily).
- Dry for at least 2 hours. For stronger coloration, apply before going to bed at night and remove the next morning.
- After drying completely, remove slowly starting from the tail of the eyebrow . (Do not remove the pack forcibly since it may pull out the eyebrow.
- Do not use a cleansing product (product with detergency) or apply force on the eyebrow area within 24 hours of using product.
I picked the color Grey Brown which suited for my black hair. Anyway, it takes at least 2 hours to finish tinted the brows? Who got 2 hours in the morning just to wait for the tint dry? Seriously...so it is better to apply it before going to sleep. It is the only ideal way unless you got plenty of time to waste.
Anyway the packaging is nothing special, the tip of the applicator is similar to nail polish brush just a thinner version of it or a fat version of eyeliner brush.
The brush made the application is quick easy, the gel spread easily on the brows. Just draw the shape that you want with a decent amount. I recommend put a cotton swab besides you when you are drawing though, so that you can clean the mistake or sharpen the edges before it dries out.
It takes time to use it perfectly.
Also remember to clean your eyebrows area properly before drawing to prevent oily skin or dead skin cell.
So I should show you how is the coloration and pigmentation of the tint after 2 hours.
The tint is okay. Not too pigment, not too subtle. Enough for natural looks. Some may argue the color is not strong enough but I am fine with it. Natural is what important.
Now one of the question that we all want to know is whether the gel will pull out our precious brow hairs or not. When I peeled it off, there is not a single hairs being pulled out. Rest assured. As long as you do it gently, nothing will be pull out.
The gel is quite easy to peel off, no pain or anything.
So I also tested whether it is waterproof or not. As you can see above, the color will be washed away if you wash it with water. So it is not waterproof and you can clean it easily with cleansing water as well. So it is nothing like Clio Brows Tattoo.
It is a good product, even though I still think of it as gimmick. I mean 2 hours to get your brows done? I ain't got time to waste. But still the pigmentation is not bad and the application is quite easy as well.
Besides that, the finish is very natural, it is does not pull out any eyebrows hairs, and last long as well. It last about all day on my face without any cleansing. Thumbs up for this.
So it you are curious, or want a long lasting eyebrows product you are encourage to use it. As long as you didn't bother the 2 hours of waiting.
