Control Sebum with Etude House 에뛰드하우스 Wonder Pore Corrector (Review)



To choose my favorite product in the Wonder Pore line, I said I would definitely select this a little tube of holy grail as my top for sebum control.

To be honest, if it wasn't Pony saying that the Wonder Pore line is suitable for hot and humid country, I wouldn't buy the whole set at the first place.


I been using this little tube for months now, and I think it is by far the most effective product in this line.

Why? I will show you the reason.


Description


This is a light and moist gel-type spot essence that helps you maintain firm and clean pores with its multi-function if sebum control, pore toning, dead skin cell exfoliating, pore firming and moisturizing capabilities.


Directions


At the last stage if basic skincare, dispense a small amount and absorb into areas that need special care. For more effective absorption, massage gently with Wonder Pore Corrector's cooling tip instead of using fingers.

Ingredients




Packaging




As you can see, it is in a little tube form colored in the blue/cyan.

Really like this color a lot especially in skincare, because it looks clean and pure.

And the design is pretty simple, you can spot the iconic shield design that printed on every Wonder Pore products easily.

At the front of the tube, you can see a flat, metal tip where the gel dispense from.

To dispense the gel, just gently press the body of tube.



Since the tip is flat, you can massage the trouble areas easily with it and if you want to relax your skin, you can always put it inside refrigerator about 5-10 minutes before you use it.

The tip will be so cold and the massage will feel so good, I always use it in this way.

Scent & Texture


It has a faint flowery scent that I really like a lot. It smells pleasant and refreshing.

While the texture is in gel type. It spreads on the skin surface smoothly and easily without any tugging.

It is very lightweight too.



The moment you spread out, the texture becomes more watery.

Performance


As I mentioned above, I used this products for months and I really like it.

Because it control the sebum so well. Like the oiliest part of my face such as forehead and nose, will not feel greasy after applied it and it helps me to secrete only a little bit of sebum throughout the day!

If you massage it with the tip, the gel absorbs quickly into the skin too just like the essence. So no greasiness and stickiness.

Normally I will used it on my nose, forehead and chin.






So, like all the other products from this line, they all have the Total pore solution 7in1 printed on them, so I assumed that they all can achieve the same effect on different ways.

If not, just blame them for printing the 7in1 solution on each products.

Out of the 7 solution, this correcter managed to control a large amount of sebum and moisturize the skin. I'll give credit for that. But I don't see the other effects as stated.

The amount of product is limited which means you don't have to apply it on your whole face, just the part that secretes sebum the most.

If you put it on the normal/dry parts of your face, it might dry out your skin. Be aware of it, since I faced it sometimes.



I am happy that it managed to help with my sebum problem but seriously I hope it can minimize the size of pores too, which sadly didn't work out.

And for the dead skin exfoliating and pore toning, sorry to said that I think it doesn't deliver what it promises.

If you looking for something to solve your sebum problem, try this one! Just don't expect any other effects.

Etude House 에뛰드하우스 Zero Sebum All Day Matte Gel (First Impression) Review


After week and week of waiting, I finally received this product arrived in my house!
It is the All Day Matte Gel that comes from the new Zero Sebum series launched by Etude House.



Description


This gel contains natural grain powder that removes sebum oil, delivering skin that feels powdery and oil-free all day. It removes first signs of sebum oil with its gentle silicon free formula.

In summary, it removes all the excessive sebum on your face, so that you won't feel greasy. Perfect for oily skin and those living in tropical country!

Directions


After applying essence in the mornings and evenings, dispense a certain amount and gently spread from inner to outer areas of face. Based on skin type, apply only onto areas concentrated with sebum oil or apply additional layers.

For me, I will apply this gel after moisturizer/ emulsion and before sunscreen.

Ingredients



Scent & Texture


It has the scent of citrus (for me), and it is not too strong either. It actually reminds me of the lemon/citrus candy that helps to keep our breath fresh. If you know what I mean.

It has clear gel texture, that spread smoothly on your face. I like gel type products because you no need to worry about tugging your face while applying this.




After you apply it, you will feel your face becomes slightly matte, it is strange but I am addictive to touch matte surface!

Packaging




The packaging is clean and simple, light and small-sized so that you can bring it anywhere.

They are smart to emphasize the words ZERO SEBUM by enlarge the font size to attract attention.

For oily skin like me, we tend to search for products that have the word "sebum" printed on it, genius marketing.

Have to say, at first I thought this product will be as large as the facial foam cleanser, but it is actually just a medium size of tube.

Blame me for not checking the size at the first place.

But still, how disappointing.

It is a squeeze type of tube, that easily control the amount you desire.



Performance


After apply this gel on my face, I feel that it becomes a little bit sticky, but it is bearable since it will be gone after few minutes.

To test whether this product will dry out your skin, I put on my cheeks (the dry part of my face) to test it out.

Sometimes after I used a product (contain alcohol) that helps to clear and prevent sebum oil, it will dry out my cheeks so bad, that it feels like it become tight and stretch out, so it feels not comfortable at all.

Luckily, this product does not dry out my skin after I applied it throughout the day.

This product doesn't seem to provide moisture to me. Have to apply moisturizer beforehand.

After a few hours, I check at my skin condition. It seems like this gel can control the production of my sebum especially my forehead up to 70%!

On my oily area such as forehead, it is pretty impressed! It only secretes a little bit of sebum throughout the day.

 But it didn't work that well for my oilier part such as nose.

My nose is like a stubborn oil machine that seems to be enjoy secrete sebum and can't stop it. Yes, there is certain extend that the gel helping to control the sebum but it still secrete half of the amount of sebum (which is still a lot)  like the day I don't apply the gel.

One thing about matte skin is that sometimes it can makes your pores more noticeable, which is not good. And this gel does make my pore more noticeable.

So you might want to consider using pore minimizing products after this gel.

For example, such as Etude House Face Blur Cream (read my review if you haven't yet) or Goodbye Porever primer.



And does this gel makes your skin shine-free?

The answer is no. As I said your skin will still secretes sebum after apply this gel but only certain amount. So, your face will still be shine after the sebum comes out.

Red Velvet Ice Cream Cake and Yeri

Lalalalalalalalala~ Oh Vanilla choco honey with a cherry on top~



Seriously, after Red Velvet released their new music video, "Ice Cream Cake", on YouTube. I've been addicted to it. I hummed it on my car, inside office, when I am bored. It just can't stop.


For the song "Automatic", yes it is classic, and smooth. But I will listen to it only when I am prepare to go to sleeping. I need to stress that, Red Velvet vocal members such as Wendy 

& Seulgi


 Did not show out their vocal so much in Ice Cream Cake though.

Like even the main vocal have only four solo lines throughout the song. And the entire time is all members singing together. But the good news is Irene and Joy can shine out their rapping talents, (bias to rappers!)  even though in their debut song "Happiness", it shows how decent are their rapping skill already. But this time, I think they got the limelight of the song.




And for the new member, Yeri, I browsed through comment section of YouTube, apparently many people thinking she has no contribute to the group, no position in the group or still not prepare to debut as well. To me, it seems that every time when a group regardless of male or female, it is confirmed that there will be controversy about it.



Crazy fans or netizens will stated that the group is already perfect! Why the hell the company would want to add a new member to it? This new member will steal the spotlight of the original members! And other reasons as well.

At first, I had mixed feelings towards Yeri too. I prefer Joy as the maknae, I want the original four members get the spotlight as they deserve (no need to share a part of verse to new member). On the radio show video published on YouTube, I hardly can listen to her voice too. (Even on her solo line)

But after some time I thought, hey people, give time to this new girl okay? She is only 16 years old, I mean what are you doing when you are 16 years old? Laying on your bed, study for school and enjoy social life, right? Because I am like that too. But Yeri she already has an occupation, receive recognition from world and begin to earn income as well. We should give her some time to show her vocal, rapping or even dancing skill.



Besides that, she also gone through a lot of training before debut too. I mean if you are a KPOP fan you should being a trainee is not easy, they need to go through a lot of tests and nailed them. If they fail, maybe they will face the fate of being eliminate or delay for the debut. And to think SM Entertainment training should be super strict and hard, as it is one of the biggest entertainment company in Korea. SM Entertainment write in the description box which stated that Yeri is capable of vocal, rapping and dancing which definitely is a strong asset to the group in the video which introduce Yeri as the new member of Red Velvet on YouTube.

Maybe you can't see the contribute or potential of Yeri during their performance, but Joy had mentioned that the Yeri has brighten up the group even since she joined. At least, they feel Yeri is a good addition to the group! Plus, she is so cute when smiling, how can you hate her?

Japanese Doll 育成日本人形 Gaming Experience

This post is about the new game that I introduced in my previous blog post. If you haven't seen it yet (which obviously you should), click here to read it first for a better understanding what this game about.

So I decided to download and try out this game to release stress, scolding people that I hate. Overall, this game is definitely below my expectation. It doesn't scared me that much, the background music aren't spooky enough, however the graphic is nice though.

Is it entertaining? To me, it is just average, probably will feel bored after a few days but will keeping it till the end since it warned me to finish the game in the first place.

This is the early form of the doll that you will receive. Basically just a piece of small wood doll without facial feature, hands, legs and cloth.


This is the current form of my doll, big eyes, creepy smiling, no hair, really flat nose wearing blue kimono hearing my complaints. In order to help it grow, you need to collect candles by simply clicking the bottom right button and feed it.


In this screen, you just need to swipe your finger all over the candles to collect it, the candles will reappear after few seconds.


Wow, why my doll become a fox spirit? This is because throughout the game, your doll will randomly change their appearance for a second. 
See that button under the back icon? It is actually a "play" button that allow you play with the doll.


How do you play with the doll? Just use your fingers quickly rubbing the doll and the gauge above will be increase. It takes time to fill up the gauge but the reward is divide! After finish up filling the gauge, the doll will repay your, I don't know, time for playing with it? And allow you collect high amount of candles.


In my previous post, I mentioned that the doll will try to create supernatural phenomena and scare you. So this is what it looks like, for a moment it was disappeared, when you start asking "where is that doll? I haven't finish my bitching yet?!" Then the next moment, BOOM, big eyes staring at you as if it trying to say, "STFU!"

In this case, just press the pray button!


I only try out this game since yesterday, and I just feel it is average. But the concept is good and creative. Go try it out if you are too free!

P/S: At first, I want to publish screen record to show you the game play but the app in the Google Play failed me so much. Seriously, there is yet a screen recorder app that can does it job well.

Japanese Doll(育成日本人形) App

Knowing that I got a lot of views from foreign country compare to Malaysia, I decided to introducing the new scary, creepy and spooky game that gain the attention by those surrounding me recently in case you are unaware of it.

Just like the name suggested, it is a game that allow user to take care of a Japanese doll from a piece of wood until it grow up into a little Japanese doll.

So you may think, "What? It just like the other pet game like Pou." You may be right, but there is a main feature in this game that stand out and attract the attention.

To avoid my blog's home will be too scary from uploading overload of gaming picture and scare away any visitor, I decided choose and upload only one picture from this game.


So what about this game that so special?
In the beginning, this game will warn the player not to uninstall this game until it is finish. 

After that, the game will start. First, it will stated that the doll recognized us, the players, as her parents, and promised to stay together forever.

So basically, we just collect candles and feed it to the doll to help it grow up!
Sound boring? Yeah, I think so too.

Hence, the producer decided to add a little element in it. Throughout the game, the doll will conduct some supernatural phenomena such as the doll dropping down from roof, dash toward to players, become a doomed red kimono bloody doll, holding a blade attempt to hurt user and so on.
It will change its appearance and conduct any scary act. 

Whenever this happened, you need to press the pray button in order to survive and record the phenomena.

I haven't start playing this game, even though I feel attracted to it since I find it through a link from Facebook. Can't deny it, this seem to be a good stress relieve game to me. (maybe you too, huh?) 

Why? Because when I playing this game I can use it to scold or cursing other people as well. I can practically keep scolding or cursing people while I feeding or pretend talking to the doll.

It maybe sound illogical/ dumb for you, but hey, who doesn't have stress and people that irritate us. I can talking to the doll like, "Dear doll, I fucking hate that bitch, XXXXX, because she is so freaking fake, annoying, acting to be kind, sweet and innocent, and literally making my life terrible now, you agree right?"

Why I can't complaint all my thoughts to other pet game like Pou? Because literally Pou always smile to me whenever i complaint to it, I hope the listener could made a serious, sympathy, or even the "Yeah, she is a bitch/ he is a jerk" kind of face.

So that why this doll's expression hit the spot and always made the "Yeah, she is a bitch/ he is a jerk" kind of face which seem like support whatever I say. And I enjoy the feeling when everybody agree what I say.

Anyway, this game is kind of interesting to try if you brave enough or is an adventurous person. You can search more information through Appstore or GooglePlay.

My driving anxiety

Today I am talking about an anxiety that have been following me 
since the moment I am able to drive by myself

So what is an anxiety?

So I really have a stressful thought that aroused me whenever I am driving!

WHAT MAKES ME SO STRESSFUL?

I always have the thought that I will be crash other people's car and didn't notice it. In order to counter back this anxiety. I always open the window every time I drive car.

Yes, I don't even turn on the air-conditioner. Can you image the high temperature sensation I experienced especially in the tropical country Malaysia.

Why do I open the window then, because in that way I am able to noticed whether I crash into other objects or car. I know this is kind of stupid, however I can listen more clearly to what ever happened outside the car.

However, even though I opened the window and safety back home, my mind will still thinking all the nonsense inside. For example, today when I was driving, I heard a loud "BANG" sound.

However I did not crash into other people, car or objects, but when I am back home the mind start thinking that "Did I actually crushed into people without knowing it?" "Will the police come and arrest me?", something like this.

Sometimes I will even ask my friend that used the same road whether there are any accidents or injuries when they back home.

Even though I have this anxiety doesn't mean I am suck at driving ok? I didn't have any bad record or accidents in my driving experience over three years. It just my brain is too freaking active and like to imagine all the nonsense.

Anyway, besides this anxiety I also have the anxiety where I think people will dislike and boycott me
But that is another story...

So anyway this is my biggest problem in driving!

Etude House 에뛰드하우스 Beauty Shot Face Blur Review (First Impression)

Hey guys! Today I will be doing a review on Etude House newly launched product Face Blur cream.

I purchased this product from an online shop since it is not available in Malaysia outlet yet. I just received it yesterday.

This new product was introduced in January. It has an interesting concept which allow us to have a photoshop skin in reality. We all want our skin look like our flawless profile/ photoshop picture, right?

So this cream can help us get rid of this problem!

Personally I think this is definitely a strong start of Etude House for the beginning of 2015



The moment I saw the advertisement of this cream on YouTube, I decided to buy it instantly without a second thought. I mean how can you resist any product endorsed by Krystal! 

Description
"This lightweight cream provides multi-blurring effects for instantly refined and smooth skin. Skin's texture is smoothed: pores minimized and complexion brightened."

Direction:
"Smooth over entire face after moisturizer and before makeup"



The packaging of the product is really simple, it is in coral-pink color and has a pump which is similar to Etude House BB Cream. So it is really hygiene and easily to control the amount. The bottle is small and portable as well.

The scent is kinda flowery and it is not really strong.

This cream has the texture which remind me of Baby Choux Base but with less oil.
It really spread out easily like water and lightweight too. Other than that, it also has a peach undertone with it, to brighten up the skin of course!


Sorry if you hardly see any different through camera, however it does brighten up my skin!
Ingredients:

This cream comes with SPF 15/PA+ and promise to achieve three different effects 
1. Smoothing
2. Pore Hiding
3. Tone Up
Basically, this cream act as a primer/base before putting any BB Cream or foundation


Overall, I think this cream did not really surprise me that well. To some extend, I think it is somehow similar to Baby Choux Base. Both of them brighten up the skin in similar way.
The only different would be Face Blur can blurred my pores so it is less noticeable.

I know we can use pore cover primer to achieve pore-less skin however most of them do not brighten up the skin. And this is the convenient and main selling point of this product.

Achieve three effects at once!  

The sebum control of this cream is pretty good too. It is lightweight that I don't feel like there is a layer on my face.

But as I mentioned above this product does not blow my mind off, maybe I have a high expectation of it.

The coverage is minimal, it can't cover up blemishes and acne very well. So you need to put another layer of BB Cream or foundation if you want.

Besides that, it only comes in one color so it may makes the skin look way too pale on dark-toned skin. But it gives you a natural look and velvety finish that you can go out with only this cream!
